online tutoring
Presently, we are doing all our tutoring online, via Zoom. But this is not new to us! For several years, we have been doing more than half of our tutoring online, with students in northern California, Texas, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Paris! And we have recently worked with students in Italy, Viet Nam and Israel! At the same time, many of our Los Angeles students have chosen to work with us online, simply to avoid afternoon traffic.
HOW WE DO IT: We use Zoom for stable video and sound, a platform for sharing documents which we annotate during the lessons, and a digital whiteboard which appears on the student’s monitor. Screenshots are available throughout the lesson, and at the end of each lesson, PDFs of all relevant problems from the session are emailed to the student.
We also mail the student our printed curriculum in advance of the first lesson.
